The Art Institue of Pittsburgh

The woman who was here from The Art Institute was pretty cool. She let us in on a lot of good information about the art world.  She showed us many types of classes and what you would do in those classes. Some of these classes were culinary, design, fashion, and media arts.  She actually told us that on the Got Milk? commercials, the milk on the celebrity's mouth wasn't really milk.  It was glue!

Honestly, I would like to go into the culinary field.  In the culinary field, I would like to bake.  I think baking would be very fun to do.  At home, me and my mom bake all the time.  It is very relaxing except when you burn the food!

My Thought On Game Design And Creation :)

My thought on video game design and creation is that I kind of like the idea about it.  During my 15 years of life, I have played many games is my freetime.  I play different types of games, but my favorite are restaurant games. 

In class, we're making this mini game together.  In a way, going through the steps to make it is boring, but I know it will all pay off in the end.  This Mini Game Project has really given me a new perspective about playing games because now I know how hard it is for these "Big Name Companies" feel.  It takes a lot of work to make kool video games for our youth today.

During my time in Globaloria, I have learned many things.  Something new I've learned in Globaloria is blogging, creating my wiki, played educational games, and set up my Flash stuff...

An interesting fact I've learned I came across while researching on choosing a topic was that people in West Virginia are obese.  So me and my partner have decided to make a game called Family Food.  We decided to make this game because we think this game can make a difference in our fellow West Virginias lives.  Well at least we hope so...

Racing Is Kool!!!

I think the racing game genre would better reflect my choice of game design.  I think it would be pretty fun and kool to do.  I also think it would be kind of challenging to make, but I think in the end it would be great!!! 

The graphics are nice I would like to know how to do that.  Making tracks and cars would be fun to do also.  Racing games are awesome!!!

INTERNET PRIVACY & SAFETY IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE!!!

Internet safety and privacy are important tools to use in our everyday lives.  A lot of things could happen if you don't use those tools in life.  Some things include: identity theft, kidnapping, and rape.

Identity theft can happen to many people because of stupid mistakes like putting too much information on the internet.  Or they can just simply leave there purse or wallet on a table, in a car, or they could've just forgot to put it in a safe place.  Identity theft can also cause you to have to pay money back becasue someone stole your credit cards and bought exspensive things.

Another thing that could happen is kidnapping and rape.  Many teenagers don't realize it, but what they put on Myspace or Facebook could really get them hurt or in trouble.  There are many men and women out there that pose as young teenagers and try to talk to you.  Many of them try to meet up with you or want to take you places.  If someone asks you a question like that then you should say NO.  If a teenager does try to meet a stranger then they could rape or even kidnap you and never bring you back...

So just remember always be safe on the internet and never give out you personal information.

My First Blog Entry

Ok, well....ummm....I really dont know how to start this out, but I'm going to have to try.  The time I heard of Globaloria, it was in Mrs. Mullins's 6th period.  She told us it was just about making video games, but I got to hand it to you, it wasn't.  It all happened on August 23, 2010, 7th period, Mrs. Ellis's class.


First, we get in the room and she tells us to get a laptop and do a survey. Turns out that was the wrong survey and my friend had to do it 4 times. LOL! Well we finally got the RIGHT survey done and we got to finally start working on our Wikis.

The next few days we just edited our Wikis. We updated avatar, social profile, and added friends.  We also added pictures, graphics, and changed the colors.  And now we're just posting blogs and editing our blogs.

So far I've been having a good time working with all my friends and hopefully I learn new things and make some cool video games.
